TRAILCUTTERS
is an extreme hiking trek along on one of the least travelled and most
challenging hiking trails in North America: The Long Range Traverse in
Gros Morne National Park, Newfoundland.
A Unesco
World Heritage site, Gros Morne National Park is renowned forit’s
unique geology, stunning fjords, and its 32 kilometres of unmarked
trail through the Long Range Traverse.
But this is
no ordinary walk in the park. Extreme hikers Peter Carr-Locke and
Elizabeth Walsh take on the challenges of the volatile mountain
terrain, swarms of black flies and the aggressive, impassible “tuck”.
Throughout their journey, Peter and Elizabeth share their experiences
in a practical and informative way. A British writer, naturalist and
global explorer, Peter’s narrative gives viewers invaluable background
and additional facts about Gros Morne, from it’s rare vegetation and
wildlife to it’s geological wonders and oddities that predate mankind.
