During the
first year and a half of the war in the Balkans Alen was a freelancer
cameraman/producer for a number of international news networks as well
as for Croatian National TV (HTV). He produced TV reports for the HTV
Evening News and numerous in-depth war reports focusing on the
people-the victims of the war, the fighters and these caught in the
middle of horror. The reports were broadcast on the highly acclaimed
doc series ‘Magazine’. Alen edited all of his reports broadcast daily
on HTV’s evening news.
Alen’s
filmed his first full feature length documentary during the war. The
film was focused on truck drivers delivering goods to areas cut off by
war zones. Leading a 2 man production team following the real-life
stories of truckers and these who depend on their help.
